Basketball Recap: Galt Comes Up Short

Galt lost against Oakmont back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Galt Warriors had to suffer through a 57-23 loss at the hands of the Oakmont Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1127th, while the Vikings are ranked 451st).

Skyler Moore was Galt's leading scorer, having posted five points. Antanella Feilbach held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Alexandra Gonzalez Landa took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

With the defeat, Galt broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Oakmont, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Galt and Elk Grove will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Oakmont, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Galt at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
