Soccer Game Preview: Robinson vs. Herndon

The Robinson Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Herndon Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Robinson has four straight wins, Herndon has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Robinson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woodson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Cavaliers on Tuesday. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Robinson yet this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Herndon's offense. They fell just short of Edison by a score of 1-0 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Herndon have lost by just one goal.

Herndon's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2. As for Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1.

Robinson was able to grind out a solid win over Herndon when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
