Baseball Game Preview: Scott Eagles vs. Cooper Jaguars

The Scott Eagles will head out to face off against the Cooper Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Cooper's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Scott is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Campbell County on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Camels by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Camels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Beechwood. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14-1. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Everything went Scott's way against Cooper in their previous matchup last Monday, as Scott made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
