Softball Recap: Curtis Gets the Win

Curtis posted their closest victory since May 9, 2024 on Sunday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Naugatuck Greyhounds 9-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Abigail Hynes was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Hynes is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Curtis' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Naugatuck, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Curtis will head out on the road to square off against Scholars Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. Curtis is facing Scholars Academy at the right time seeing as Scholars Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Naugatuck, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Paul Catholic at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
