Baseball Recap: Orchard Park Comes Up Short

Orchard Park fell victim to Lancaster and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Legends by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Quakers were not able to get on the board.

Zach Nalawadi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Orchard Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Huber, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Orchard Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lancaster, their record is now 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orchard Park will take on Williamsville South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lancaster, they will square off against Clarence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
