Volleyball Recap: Copiague Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Copiague had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Connetquot T-Birds. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the T-Birds: they've now lost five in a row.

While Copiague was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-22, 25-12.

Connetquot's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Connetquot will take on Commack at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Copiague will be paying especially close attention to the T-Birds' game: after the T-Birds face off against North Babylon, they'll take on Copiague again at 4:15 p.m. on the 18th.
