Soccer Game Preview: Bellevue vs. Shorewood

The Bellevue Wolverines will take on the Shorewood Stormrays on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bellevue is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Central Valley get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Considering Bellevue have won six games by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Shorewood waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Cougars. Give Shorewood's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Morgan Grutz, who's now up to four this season.

Bellevue has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. As for Shorewood, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1.
