Huron hadn't done well against Riverview recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Huron Chiefs came out on top against the Riverview Pirates by a score of 62-55. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Pirates back in January, they had to take a 51-41 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Riverview lost, don't look at Kate Patterson. Despite the final result, she posted 22 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Patterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caiya Hunter, who had 15 points and six rebounds.

Huron is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Riverview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Huron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-46 defeat against St. Mary Catholic Central on the 10th. As for Riverview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-44 win against Jefferson on the 10th.
