Baseball Recap: Bourgeois Comes Up Short

Bourgeois was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside Academy Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 back in February.

Bourgeois' loss dropped their record down to 6-27. As for Riverside Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 21-12.

Bourgeois wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Newman on the 14th. As for Riverside Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ascension Catholic on the 29th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rebels 3.9, the Bulldogs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
