Basketball Recap: Wagon Mound Takes a Loss

Wagon Mound was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cimarron Rams 81-49. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-44 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Wagon Mound lost, don't look at Eugene Armijo. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Vasquez, who had seven points.

Wagon Mound's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cimarron, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Wagon Mound didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-43 victory against New Mexico School for the Deaf on the 19th. As for Cimarron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-59 defeat against Roy/Mosquero on the 20th.
