Volleyball Recap: Luling Comes Up Short

Luling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stacey. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Luling of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Stacey scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 26-28, 25-17.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Stacey, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

Coming up, Luling will challenge Karnes City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Stacey, they will take on KIPP Somos Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
