Basketball Game Preview: Brookwood Panthers vs. American Christian Academy Patriots

The Brookwood Panthers will square off against the American Christian Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Brookwood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-53 to Northside. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, American Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 68-42 to Northside. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Rams are ranked 151st).

Brookwood's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for American Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Brookwood didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against American Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
