Volleyball Game Preview: Shawnee Mission West Vikings vs. Mill Valley Jaguars + Official Tickets

Shawnee Mission West hasn't had much luck against Mill Valley recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Vikings will square off against the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Shawnee Mission West was able to grind out a solid win over Shawnee Mission North, taking the game 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.

While Shawnee Mission West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mill Valley took on De Soto on Tuesday. The Jaguars blew past the Wildcats 3-0.

Mill Valley never let De Soto on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 29-27.

Mill Valley's win bumped their record up to 29-4. As for Shawnee Mission West, their victory bumped their record up to 6-22.

Shawnee Mission West couldn't quite get it done against Mill Valley in their previous matchup on October 4th as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
