Softball Game Preview: Ladysmith Lumberjacks vs. Northwestern Tigers

Ladysmith hasn't had much luck against Northwestern recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lumberjacks will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Ladysmith is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to St. Croix Falls.

Meanwhile, while it was Northwestern who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Spooner who put up more. The Tigers fell just short of the Rails by a score of 6-5.

Ashlyn Sutherland was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Ladysmith's record is now 0-4. As for Northwestern, their record now sits at 1-1.
