Softball Recap: Canandaigua Academy Comes Up Short

Canandaigua Academy's last matchup with Spencerport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Braves might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-1 to the Rangers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Braves just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Canandaigua Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delilah Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Delilah Liddle also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Canandaigua Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Spencerport, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Coincidentally, Canandaigua Academy and Spencerport will both be playing Brockport the next time they take the field. The Braves will host the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rangers will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
