Volleyball Recap: Lincolnton Wolves vs. Highland Tech Rams

After flying high against Chase on Monday, Lincolnton came back down to earth. The Wolves came up short against the Highland Tech Rams on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-10.

Keeli Frye paced Lincolnton's offense, picking up five kills. Frye got some help from Kathryn Parker and her six assists. Finally, Kaylen Bryant kept Lincolnton's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Highland Tech can attribute much of their success to Riley Decker, who had 15 digs and seven assists. That's the most assists Decker has posted since back in September.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Highland Tech, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lincolnton will take on West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Draughn on the 8th.
