Basketball Recap: Darlington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Haralson County last Tuesday, Darlington came back down to earth. The Darlington Tigers came up short against the Model Blue Devils on Friday, falling 53-31. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 78th).

Darlington now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Model, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Darlington has already played their next match (against Heard County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Model won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trion at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
