After a string of five wins, Poudre's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Loveland Red Wolves, falling 3-0. The Impalas were not able to make up for their defeat to the Red Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-20.

Maggie Foster paced Poudre's offense, picking up 13 kills. Foster got some help from McKenna Mehle and her 13 assists. Mehle also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kathryn Rizza, racking up two apiece.

Poudre's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Loveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poudre will host Fossil Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Loveland, they will welcome Thompson Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
