Baseball Recap: Harssh Ramayanam Venkkat Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat River Dell

Bergen Tech won against Fair Lawn on Tuesday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Knights beat the River Dell Golden Hawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Matt Tucci tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Bergen Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harssh Ramayanam Venkkat, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Bergen Tech's record is now 9-12. As for River Dell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bergen Tech will host Camden County Vo-Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for River Dell, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Paramus at 4:15 p.m.
