Basketball Preview: Learning Foundation & Performing Arts Wolves vs. Heritage Academy Heroes
The Learning Foundation & Performing Arts Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Academy Heroes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Learning Foundation & Performing Arts comes in on nine and the Heroes on three.
In what's become a running theme this season, Learning Foundation & Performing Arts gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Skyline Prep 78-30 at home. Given Learning Foundation & Performing Arts' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bengals are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Heritage Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over BASIS - Chandler.
Heritage Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Nelson out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Campbell, who scored 16 points.
Learning Foundation & Performing Arts' win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.2 points. As for Heritage Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Learning Foundation & Performing Arts lost to the Heroes on the road by a decisive 67-51 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Learning Foundation & Performing Arts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
