Softball Recap: Cottage Grove Lions vs. Estacada Rangers
Cottage Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Estacada Rangers.
For Estacada's part, Kassidy Elkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Elkins has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Elkins was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
