Football Recap: Nyack Takes a Loss

Nyack lost against Eastchester back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Hawks fell 33-25 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Eagles are ranked 91st).

Despite the loss, Nyack still got an impressive performance from Devin Bierfeldt, who threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards on only six carries. 134 of Bierfeldt's passing yards were hauled in by Connor McGrogan, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Nyack and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Eastchester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

As of now, neither Nyack nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
