Softball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland lost against Chestnut Ridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rams lost 9-3 to the Lions.

Addy Matejovich made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Sophie Burke was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Richland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Chestnut Ridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richland will square off against rival Greater Johnstown at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chestnut Ridge is set to take on their familiar foe Central Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
