Riverdale Ridge dropped their record down to 13-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 8-2 to the Prairie View Thunderhawks. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Ravens couldn't push the score so high this time.

Riverdale Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Swan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Prairie View, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

On Prairie View's side, Jerry Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Romani Perez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jael Peralta, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale Ridge will welcome Denver North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie View, they will host Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderhawks will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
