Softball Recap: Seymour Eagles vs. Northview Academy Cougars

Seymour had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Northview Academy Cougars on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for Seymour, as the team was forced to settle for a 5-1 loss when these two played last Monday.

Seymour's victory was truly a team effort as ten different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Gilliland, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Landry Terry was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

On Northview Academy's side, Baylee Stewart was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off 11 hits (and not a single walk).
