Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cameron on Monday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Fighting Irish took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawson Cardinals on Tuesday.

Lafayette was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lawson, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0-1.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Maryville on the 18th. As for Lawson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against East Buchanan on the 18th.
