The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand Brunswick Christian Academy a 22-0 shutout on Monday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Victoria Loehr made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (five).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corie Wheeler, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Arabella Blake, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
First Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Corinth Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Northside Christian Academy, falling 21-1. The Warriors have struggled against Northside Christian Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
First Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Corinth Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
First Christian took their victory against Corinth Christian Academy when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
