Purchase Line suffers fifth straight loss at home

Recap: Purchase Line Red Dragons vs. West Shamokin Wolves

The Purchase Line Red Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by West Shamokin 65-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Purchase Line of the 60-24 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 4th.

Loss or not, Purchase Line got some senior leadership from Brock Small and Owen Misko. Small scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Misko. scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Small has scored all season.

Purchase Line dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for West Shamokin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Purchase Line will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Homer-Center is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for West Shamokin, they and the Comets will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
