Baseball Game Preview: Bob Jones Patriots vs. Austin Black Bears

For the second straight game, Bob Jones will face off against Austin. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Black Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bob Jones' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Austin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bob Jones had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Austin on Friday. The Patriots blew past the Black Bears 12-1. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

For Austin's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bentley Stidham, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Bob Jones has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Austin, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.
