Basketball Recap: Neoga Takes a Loss

Neoga was the 49-43 winner over Dieterich when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Neoga Indians took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dieterich Movin Maroons on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly ten points.

Dieterich was led to victory by Kady Tegler and Addison Miller. Tegler almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards, while Miller went 10-for-21 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Those 23 points gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Callie Faller, who posted eight points along with seven boards and five steals.

Neoga has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for Dieterich, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Neoga has already played their next matchup, a 79-39 loss against Teutopolis on the 10th. As for Dieterich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-30 win against Webber on the 11th.
