Football Game Recap: Lampasas vs. Gatesville

Gatesville won the last time they faced Lampasas, and things went their way on Friday, too. Gatesville got past Lampasas with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 33-27.

Gatesville got off to a slow start in their last-week matchup, but they had no such trouble against Lampasas and cruised to a 21-point first half. Lampasas countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 21-7 going into the half. Gatesville were outperformed in the second half 12-20 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The victory bumped their record up to 2-3. The loss dropped Lampasas' record to 2-3.

Gatesville will look to defend their home turf next week against Glen Rose at 7:30 PM. Both of those teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. Lampasas will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Burnet in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
