            Softball Recap: Mendenhall Tigers vs. Pass Christian Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            Mendenhall and Pass Christian squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Mendenhall had to settle for second. They took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Kimora Bouldin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.
 On the hitting side,  Tatum Berry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.  Corrine Allen also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Mendenhall's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Pass Christian, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record  this season.
While Mendenhall had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
