Baseball Game Preview: Harvest Christian Academy Saints vs. Trinity Christian Academy Warriors

Harvest Christian Academy is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Trinity Christian Academy is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Saints will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Harvest Christian Academy made easy work of Lucas Christian Academy and carried off a 17-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won 11 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brody Ticknor made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Ellison, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Elijah Mann was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Dallas Academy.

Harvest Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything went Harvest Christian Academy's way against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as Harvest Christian Academy made off with a 24-7 win.
