Softball Recap: Midlothian Triumphs

Midlothian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Whitehouse Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 1, 2025.

Abby Insley spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits.

On the hitting side, Midlothian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Midlothian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Whitehouse, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Midlothian will face off against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitehouse, they will square off against Rockwall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
