Football Recap: Cypress Lake's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Cypress Lake had to endure a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They never let the East Lee County Jaguars get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cypress Lake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Abigail Buckley and Madison Bazile.

Cypress Lake's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for East Lee County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Cypress Lake will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bonita Springs at 6:30 p.m. on March 27th. As for East Lee County, they will be playing at home against Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
