Softball Recap: Whitney Wildcats vs. Glenn Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Artesia, Whitney was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Glenn Eagles out 10-8. The high-scoring effort was just what Whitney needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Chiugo Anyama was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madison Velazquez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

On Glenn's side, Sienna Contreras made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Jimenez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

Whitney's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Glenn, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
