Volleyball Recap: East Bladen Takes a Loss

East Bladen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hobbton Wildcats. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2018.

East Bladen took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 15-10.

East Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hobbton, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, East Bladen will face off against North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hobbton, they will challenge Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
