Baseball Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

Carlisle lost against Ore City last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Carlisle fell just short of Ore City by a score of 2-1. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Carlisle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Garza, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Joseph Mejia also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Ore City, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carlisle will square off against rival Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ore City is set to take on their familiar foe Harleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
