Durant won the last time they faced Tampa Bay Tech and things went their way on Thursday too. The Durant Cougars blew past the Tampa Bay Tech Titans 47-11. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Durant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Icyss Lopez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla White, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and seven boards.

Durant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.4 points per game. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Durant and Tampa Bay Tech could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings.
