Soccer Recap: Springdale Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Springdale fell just short of Fayetteville by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Springdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Fayetteville is ranked second).

Springdale is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9. As for Fayetteville, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springdale is set to square off against their familiar foe Rogers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fayetteville will face off against rival Rogers Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Fayetteville's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Rogers Heritage have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
