Basketball Game Preview: Johnstown Christian Bluejays vs. Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors

Johnstown Christian is on a four-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Calvary Christian Academy a three-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Johnstown Christian Bluejays will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors at 7:00 p.m.

Last Monday, Johnstown Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-31 to Grace Prep.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy earned a 57-45 win over Blair County Christian on Monday.

Calvary Christian Academy's win came from a few key players Johnstown Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jackson Suttles, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Lloyd, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Calvary Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Johnstown Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Johnstown Christian ended up a good deal behind Calvary Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January, losing 63-45. Thankfully for Johnstown Christian, Tyrell Lapp (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
