Basketball Recap: South Davidson Comes Up Short

South Davidson played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 78-26 defeat at the hands of the Thomasville Bulldogs. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-14.

South Davidson's loss came despite strong showings from Trent Duffy and Jude Matney. Duffy posted four points in addition to five rebounds and five blocks, while Matney put up. Duffy has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last nine times he's played.

South Davidson is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18. As for Thomasville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-47 loss against Chatham Central on the 5th. As for Thomasville, they have also already played their next game, a 65-54 win against Parkland on the 5th.
