Basketball Game Preview: Weldon Valley Warriors vs. Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves

The Weldon Valley Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Peaks Classical Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Weldon Valley, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Weldon Valley got the win against Rocky Mountain Lutheran by a conclusive 41-19. The Warriors pushed the score to 35-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Annie Onufrak, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Ellie Koch, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Twin Peaks Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loveland Classical.

Weldon Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Weldon Valley came up short against Twin Peaks Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 53-49. Can Weldon Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
