Baseball Recap: Rossford Takes a Loss

Rossford lost against Genoa Area back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 26-4 to the Comets. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Comets since on Monday.

Jackson Yerkes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

Rossford's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Genoa Area, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rossford will challenge rival Oak Harbor at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Genoa Area is set to square off against their familiar foe Maumee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
