Basketball Game Preview: Selkirk Rangers vs. Cusick Panthers

Selkirk hasn't had much luck against Cusick recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Selkirk has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Selkirk came up short against Northport and fell 80-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Rangers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cusick faced off against Republic on Tuesday. The Panthers took a hard 68-49 fall against the Tigers. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Selkirk's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Cusick, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Selkirk couldn't quite get it done against Cusick when the teams last played on January 3rd as they fell 66-53. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
