Softball Game Preview: West Cabarrus Wolverines vs. South Iredell Vikings

The West Cabarrus Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the South Iredell Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Cabarrus is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

West Cabarrus lost 20-9 to Cox Mill on Tuesday.

Cadyn Ready was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Weaks, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, South Iredell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Hough by a score of 5-4.

West Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for South Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

West Cabarrus might still be hurting after the 20-0 defeat they got from South Iredell in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
