It was a good run, but Natalia unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Crystal City Javelinas by a score of 51-48. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 57-45 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Crystal City was led to victory by Izabela Tapia and Alyson Mata. Tapia dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards, while Mata posted ten points and six steals. Tapia continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Natalia's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Crystal City, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Natalia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-19 win against Cotulla on the 13th. As for Crystal City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-47 defeat against Jourdanton on the 13th.
