Baseball Game Preview: Kanab Cowboys vs. Enterprise Wolves

For the second straight game, Kanab will face off against Enterprise. Kanab will look to defend their home field on Friday against Enterprise at 3:30 p.m. The last five games Kanab has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Kanab had just enough and edged out Enterprise 3-1. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly two runs.

Walker Baird spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kanon Virostko, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Kash Kabonic, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Kanab has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. Enterprise's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
