If Southeast Halifax wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Warren County, they should've done a better job of containing Kamari Nicholson. The Warren County Eagles walked away with a 49-39 victory over the Southeast Halifax Trojans on Friday thanks in part to Nicholson, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, ten boards, and 12 blocks. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adaveon Batchelor, who posted four points along with 13 boards and four steals. Batchelor has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarian Webb, who went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points.
Warren County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Southeast Halifax, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Warren County will challenge Northampton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. Southeast Halifax has already played their next match, a 67-58 loss against KIPP P on the 1st.
