Baseball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker lost against Northview back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gators fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 4-2.

Baker saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Stanley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Northview, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker will square off against Santa Rosa Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northview, they will face off against W.S. Neal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight.
